AGEC young composers

WORKSHOP → Young European composers get the chance to present their compositions to a broad public during the AGEC workshop. An ‘ambassador choir’ will present the new choral works. After the performance, the young composers will get feedback from the choir, its conductor and widely renowned European composers.→ SAT 30.10 2010, 2.00 p.m. – 3.20 p.m. & SUN 31.10 2010, 10.20 a.m. – 11.35 a.m.

During these presentations, the composers work together with the conductors and choirs and exchange experiences and ideas about all aspects of the work: its difficulties, its form and its interpretation, etc. What’s more, experienced composers of choral music are invited to comment on the work and give their young colleagues good advice. For the young composers this is a very valuable and, for some, even sets new challenges!

Simon De Poorter (Belgium) : Kabbelen aan het plafond

Pernille Louise Sejlund (Denmark) : The Sea
